Life With The Libbys | Family Travel Guide to 30A Florida

When I first stumbled upon images of 30A - I thought to myself, this couldn't be in Florida - and if so, how have I not been here yet?! I spent hours online scrolling through images looking at the beautiful architecture and white sandy beaches dreaming of our next vacation. It truly was just as beautiful (+ more) in person. I think travelers have been gatekeeping this gem because it is truly unlike anything else.

So for anyone who doesn't know, 30A Florida is a highway on the Florida panhandle. We flew into Destin and rented a car but you can also fly into Northwest Florida Beaches International. There are 16 quaint beach towns that make up the scenic highway 30A and I truly believe you can't go wrong with any of them. When doing some research I fell in love with Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach the most.

We found an airbnb (this one) in Seacrest that was right in the middle of Alys & Rosemary making everything walkable. I believe each little community has their own pool & beach access but you usually can only access if you are staying in that area. The pool for our airbnb was right outside our balcony and the beach was right across the street. If you're traveling with your family this is so perfect because you can just take your stroller everywhere and avoid packing the kiddos up in the car.

While the main purpose of the trip was just to relax, hang by the pool & beach, and walk around we did have a few things in mind! Here's some things we loved & others we will have to come back to next time.

Places to Eat:

Things to Do:

  • Check out The Hub over in Watersound for family friendly dance parties, happenings, and food options for all.

  • Parks & Trails in Aly's Beach - honestly you could just wander around and be so happy in this beautiful place.

  • Shopping in Seaside - we loved this toy store.

  • Splash pad in Aly's Beach

  • Check out the Post Office Building in Rosemary Beach

  • Farmers Market in Rosemary Beach

  • Picnic on the lawn

We can't wait for our next trip!
