There’s nothing quite like escaping New England’s winter to capture a sun-drenched, love-filled wedding weekend in the Caribbean. When Jennifer & Greggory invited us to document their wedding in beautiful Barbados, we knew we were in for something special. Destination weddings hold a unique magic - gathering family and friends from all over the world to celebrate in an unforgettable location. And what better setting than the crystal-clear waters, swaying palm trees, and golden sands of Barbados?
We always love arriving on property a day early to scout the most breathtaking locations and capture scenic shots that set the tone for the couple’s wedding film and gallery. The night before the wedding was nothing short of spectacular. A beachside rehearsal dinner set the stage for an incredible weekend, with a steel pan band creating the perfect island vibe. Guests sipped sangria from the beautifully designed sangria bar, while a fire eater and dancer mesmerized everyone with an unforgettable performance. An acoustic guitarist serenaded the couple and guests during dinner, making the evening feel intimate yet festive—an impeccable way to welcome loved ones to the island.
The Wedding Day | A Celebration of Love in Paradise
The morning of the wedding was relaxed and joyful, just as it should be. Jennifer and her bridesmaids popped champagne on the deck overlooking the ocean, soaking in the salty air and excitement of the day ahead. Just before the first look, a brief rainstorm rolled in, but we knew to be patient—within minutes, the skies cleared, leaving behind the most vibrant post-rain glow.
Jennifer & Greggory’s first look was filled with emotion as they exchanged private vows before the ceremony. We love these intimate moments—it allows couples to truly connect before the whirlwind of the day begins. Afterward, we captured wedding party and family portraits before the ceremony, so they could fully enjoy their cocktail hour later.
The ceremony itself was pure perfection. Set on the beach, Jennifer walked barefoot down the aisle beneath a stunning flower arch, with the waves providing a natural, serene soundtrack. The golden sun bathed the entire setting in warmth as they said, “I do.”
Sunset Cocktails & a Night to Remember
Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a breathtaking rooftop cocktail hour, complete with panoramic ocean views and delicious tropical-inspired drinks. Meanwhile, we snuck away with the newlyweds for golden hour portraits on the beach, capturing the two of them framed by swaying palms and the Caribbean sunset.
As night fell, the celebration moved into a clear-top tent, where twinkling lights and chandeliers reflected against the starlit sky, creating an absolutely magical atmosphere. The reception was a feast for the senses, featuring a five-course meal, fire performances, and an epic dance party that had everyone on their feet. To end the night, Jennifer & Greggory took a spontaneous run along the beach, their laughter echoing against the waves—a perfect finale to a perfect day.
