Life With The Libbys | Wellness Favorites for 2024

wellness products and goals for 2024

When sitting down and reflecting on my 2023 goals and setting intentions for 2024, I feel really proud of the changes I made and habits I established. One of my core values is wellness and this year I truly made it a priority. Beyond just eating better and working out I focused on quality sleep, reading more, and cleaning up the products in our home.

At the beginning of 2023 I felt like I was finally coming out of the postpartum and pandemic haze and I was ready to prioritize myself again. My word of the year was clarity. New moms, you know the feeling of constant brain fog and never feeling like you have enough time to do all the things? That's how I felt.

I started my year by reading 5 AM Club and it changed everything. I know people are so hesitant to get up early, I get it - I love my sleep. But I promise you, this changed my life. Not only did I now have time for movement, meditation, and reading that I so desperately craved. This quiet alone time in the morning allowed me to fill my own cup up before pouring back into my little human, husband, business, and all the other demands of life. I crave this hour. I feel more present, energetic, and joyful after taking this time to myself. I realized that I would rather have this extra hour in the morning to do something productive and that feels good then sit on the couch in the late evening scrolling and watching TV. So whether you have kids or don't I really recommend this hour to yourself. If you do it, I would love to hear about your experience. I don't think I'll ever go back.

My morning ritual starts by waking up to my Hatch Light. I love that this a softer way to wake up than a screaming alarm. Once awake, my routine usually consist of Melissa Wood Health, Meditation (I love this quick 5 minute one or this series), Gratitude Journal, and reading on my Kindle. I used to be a physical book girly but switching to a Kindle has been such a game changer. I love that I can read a personal development style book in the morning and then fiction in the evening before bed. It also allows me to quickly move onto the next book when I finish one.

If you're a wellness enthusiast, you probably have heard of the Oura Ring. I got this for Mother's Day in 2023 and LOVE it. One of the main reasons I got it is because it syncs with Natural Cycles. If you've ever taken your temperature every morning to track period and ovulation (to try or prevent pregnancy) you know it can be a tedious task. I love that the Oura Ring does it for me. My other favorite part is the sleep tracking. With waking up earlier, I wanted to make sure I was still getting quality sleep. The Oura Ring holds me accountable and pressures me to go to at a decent time. While I still get "Optimal Sleep" (I'll take it with a toddler) I'm making it a goal in 2024 to prioritize my sleep more. So this means an even earlier bedtime and no scrolling before bed. The Oura Ring has so many other cool features and I highly recommend it!

With quality sleep on my priority list, I'm going to give Mouth Tape a try this year. I've heard so many experts talk about the benefits and I'm looking forward to trying it out. I'll report back.

A few other favorites were...

  • Branch Basics cleaning set - we have replaced all our cleaning supplies with this.

  • Jolie Shower Head was a gift from a friend but something I'd been wanting for so long.

  • Barefaced Skincare - I found this postpartum when I was struggling with hormonal acne. I loved that they had pregnancy and breastfeeding safe products that actually work. These products have changed and healed my skin the past two years. I wish I would have found them sooner.

  • Meal Prep & Grocery List Download - We cook 95% of the time at home. I truly enjoy trying new recipes and cooking for our family. I created this meal prep and grocery list download to simplify the process. When we started using this I was actually excited about what was for dinner and we were saving so much money by not ordering random take out. It's one of my goals for 2024 to try 1 new recipe each week!
