Wedding Planning | Pretty Little Details

One of the first things I do upon arrival to your wedding day is capture all the little details. You know the ones I'm talking about. The invitations, your rings, little mementos and heirlooms. These details (and photos) are some of my favorite because they help tell the story of your day.

To be honest, as a bride & photographer, the details are where the magic is.

Dreaming up the details has been my favorite part of wedding planning. It's allowed me to weave in pieces of our story and truly allow our wedding to represent who we are as a couple.

Today on the blog, I wanted to share a few of my favorite detail shots to get you inspired for your own wedding. I've even included a downloadable checklist for you at the bottom! Now, don't be intimidated. These are just ideas! Everyone's details look a little bit different - and that's the best part! From handwritten notes to fancy wedding shoes. Find what's most important to you and set it aside so your photographer knows to capture it.

I find this so helpful on a wedding day. When I arrive if all your details are put together, it allows me to dig right into work without having to interrupt anyone. That's where this checklist comes in handy! It's not a checklist for you to provide to your photographer, but more of a packing list or list for your maid of honor to help assemble your details for you day of.

I hope you find this helpful! And if you have any suggestions for things to add to the list, send me a message so I can make sure I'm including it!

Note: This blog post just include details I photograph during the getting ready process. Of course there are many other details during your ceremony & reception that are important to capture.

Stay tuned for a later blog post!
