Life With The Libbys | Our Wedding Vendors

It was such an honor last week to see our wedding featured on Style Me Pretty!

We can't express enough how grateful we are for the most incredible team of vendors who helped make our vision a reality. They seriously made all our dreams come true!

Today on the blog, we're diving into who we chose for our wedding vendors and sharing a little more about our experience working with them.

As a newly engaged couple we understand the pressure to choose the perfect vendors for your day. Not only is it a large financial investment, you're also choosing the people you want to spend your wedding day with and the ones you trust to help you throughout the process.

I have to begin this post with my girl, Pinch Me Planning.

From the moment we got engaged, Christina was my go-to girl.

She helped me pull all my ideas into a cohesive vision that truly represented who we are as a couple. The wedding planning process is overwhelming, there are so many decisions to be made and even though we're both in the industry we felt like we had no idea what we were doing! Christina guided us through every step.

I knew on my wedding day, I wanted to be completely hands off. I wanted to be a bride. I didn't want to set tables or arrange flowers or spend all day telling people where to put things. Christina was the only one I trusted to make sure it was exactly the way I wanted it.

I walked into the tent and it instantly brought me to tears. Our dreams, our vision, all came together.

But more than any of the pretty details & design, the best gift Christina and the PMP team can offer is PEACE OF MIND. Seriously. If you're stressed on your wedding day, what's it worth?

Enjoying my day and being 100% in the moment was the most important to me and Christina made it happen.

One of my hardest vendors to choose was a wedding photographer. But once we stumbled upon Mary Claire Photography, we knew she was the one.

We loved that she captured wedding days on both digital & film and had such a calming presence that put us right at ease. Her artistic approach to photography with a style that is light & bright but also vibrant and true to life. We are so grateful we came across her work!

OH, Happy Camper Films. Where do we start?

Not only is this husband & wife duo genuine, loving, and an absolute pleasure to be around. They are CRAZY talented. Their ability to tell a story is simply like no other.

We cry every time we watch our film because of the way they documented and pieced together one of the most beautiful days of our lives. They are seriously magicians.

I know I probably sound like a broken record, but ALL MY FLORAL DREAMS CAME TRUE thanks to Field Floral Studio. The beautiful blooms, the jaw dropping installations, her kind & loving heart. I'm still in awe of every detail she created.

We also love that she worked so closely with our lighting team Griffin & Griffin to make it all happen!

To be honest, when we first started planning, we had no idea what we wanted for lighting but we knew that we had to have Griffin & Griffin. Talk about magicians. This team can completely transform a space, and that's exactly what they did! They provided functional lighting as well as design under our sailcloth tent. What went from a blank slate, turned into my dream venue with their help.

Speaking of party - Chris Lothridge from The Music Man sure knows how to throw one. I don't think our dance floor was empty all night long.

We also loved using our go-to band, The Hill Bros, for our welcome party, ceremony, and cocktail hour! From singing "Here Comes the Sun" to me walking down the aisle to "No Scrubs" as we all break it down. We love working with these guys any chance we get.

One of the more unique aspects of our reception, is that we decided to not have a sit down dinner. Instead, we chose all our favorite apps had them served all night long. 111 Maine absolutely KILLED it. Everything was delicious and the service was incredible. They not only provided catering but bartending service, set up, take down, AND a crepe bar for dessert. Jennifer and her team are simply amazing.

The most important part of our wedding weekend was the experience. Not only for the two of us, but also all our favorite people. We chose Portside Manor as our venue because it allowed for the most incredible all weekend experience. We loved that it was like a blank slate. Two houses that were big enough for our whole wedding party, significant others, and parents to stay in from Thursday - Monday. The beautiful property was like a blank slate nestled in mid-coast Maine with a private beach and just a few miles from hotels.

Because Portside Manor was a blank slate, we had to bring ALL our rentals in. Which can be overwhelming (but not with PMP's help!) and I actually kind of loved this process. I loved being able to completely design my own space from scratch. We used One Stop Event Rentals for majority of our rentals like our tent, tables & chairs, tabletop, glasses, etc. Then we used Marshall Tent & Event for our tablecloths because they had the perfect shade of blue I was looking for! Then what really brought the space together was our lounge & bar rentals from Heartwood Essentials. It made our reception space feel like home, where everyone there was family and that's exactly what we wanted.

There are so many other details like DIY invitations, welcome bags, and all of our attire choices that I'll cover in an upcoming post! If you have any questions about wedding planning or choosing the right vendors for YOU don't hesitate to reach out.
